Bisbee Blue Rally Past Raton Osos 12-10

June 4 2014 The Bisbee Blue overcame a late Raton Osos push to secure a 12-10 victory. Bisbee built an early 4-1 lead in the first inning before Raton answered with three runs in the second. The teams traded single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, leaving Bisbee ahead 5-5 after five frames before the Blue broke through with seven runs in the seventh. Raton scored four times in the eighth but could not complete the comeback.

Raton collected 15 hits, led by Chris Williams 4-for-5 performance with three runs and two RBI. Mitch Warne added two hits and two RBI, while S. Helms had two hits, one RBI and a team-high three walks. For Bisbee, Mike Perrone scored three runs and drew three walks, while the player listed as P. UnknownN016 went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Chris Allen, Daniel Aldrich, Roberts and John Zalud each recorded two hits.

Bisbee used four pitchers, with Kody Thiebaud working five innings and allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out five. Dan Bartlett pitched two innings, and Joe Robinson followed with two innings. Michael Heller was credited with the win and the save. Raton starter Phil Richmond pitched six innings and allowed six hits and six runs, three earned, with five walks and seven strikeouts.
