Bisbee Blue Roll Past Douglas Diablos 17-8

July 17 2014 The Bisbee Blue defeated the Douglas Diablos 17-8, collecting 17 hits while holding Douglas to 10. Bisbee broke out for five runs in the first inning, added four in the fourth and scored two in the sixth before putting the game away with three-run innings in both the eighth and ninth. Douglas scored four runs in the second but could not keep pace. Brett Zaziski led Bisbee with three hits and four RBIs, including two doubles. Daniel Aldrich went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and hit a home run, while Clemente Parra added two hits, four RBIs and a home run. Chris Allen also had three hits, scored three runs and stole a base. Bisbee finished with two home runs, five doubles and a triple. Dan Bartlett earned the win for Bisbee after allowing five hits and three earned runs in four innings, with one walk and four strikeouts. Kyle Renaud followed with three innings of two-hit, one-run relief and two strikeouts. Ryan Lubreski took the loss for Douglas, surrendering nine hits and 11 runs, 10 earned, in six innings while striking out seven and walking six. Derek Voigt paced Douglas with three hits, two runs and one RBI. Matt Page and Malquiel Brito each collected two hits, while Ray Roman, Logan Lotti and Ryan Roberts also drove in runs for the Diablos.
